The M 620 D speakers contribute immensely to the atmospheric density and emotional impact of a film soundtrack. This is achieved mainly through the dipole design of these speakers. Here, a 100 mm woofer and 25 mm tweeter are installed on each side and radiate sound forwards and backwards in opposite directions to each other. Listeners hear less of the direct sound coming from the speakers and instead perceive a diffuse sound field reflecting from the walls. The resulting soundscape is captivating and open, and could never be achieved to this degree using conventional direct-radiating rear speakers. An additional 130 mm subwoofer adds deep bass to the rear speakers so that you can pump up the bass in rooms up to 50 m2 in size. The switch at the rear terminal allows you to choose whether to operate each speaker in dipole or conventional direct-radiating mode. The integrated wall mounts make it easy to install the dipole speakers. The M 620 D dipole speakers can only be purchased as a pair outside of the System 6 THX set.
